Was in New York a couple of weeks ago and went along to ground zero. I didn't really fill anything considering what had happened there. It didn't feel like a memorial, where as, when I went to the Dakota Building, even without any plaque or sign, felt quite sad at such a waste of life.
I think that says more about me then the locations, actually felt guilty for having both those different feelings.

Must be me!

Looking at the skulduggery and chicanery that is being revealed in wikileaks may I suggest that it was definitely an inside job.

End of thread.

Well, if it does Coffers, I won't be participating.

Ever so gently, like a wounded dog, the thread edges towards a replay of earlier threads.

I see.

Re: 9 11 Who thread
You know, the two widely reported interceptors that were latterly denied, oh and the phone calls from an altitude at which it was impossible

All that aside, a day of a truly momentous event that was documented from the start on here and that I intended to print off as a record of the shock and panic for my kids to read in later life

Being the pillock I am I never got to do it and would dearly like a copy

Re: 9 11 Who thread
Thanks for setting my mind at ease, Crassus.

However, it is interesting that you should say this;

" ..whilst phoning pals about the two interceptors following "

Re: 9 11 Who thread
Just a normal day, knew nothing about what had happened until the following day.

Bru - get the net mate
Just got my head down in the bivvy and had both rods go on the old faithfully mix

Err Ronald mere conjecture, I tend to favour the brought down by the heroic passengers route, whilst phoning pals about the two interceptors following

There's no evidence a plane was shot down that day. Hth.

I'm pretty sure I would have done.

By the way, it's interesting that you say this;

" ... that aircraft were heading for the White House, (the one they shot down I suspect) ..."

Ron

You would not have at the time, within the context of the occasion it had been reported that aircraft were heading for the White House, (the one they shot down I suspect) bloke did not know what to do and the media was down with no way of getting out of the city

Ronald_antly 11:05 Wed Nov 2
Re: 9 11 Who thread
"Lad in Washington, grid locked Washington, under his desk in sight of the White House asking what to do ..."

"Man the fuck up!", I would suggest.

Was living in the States at the time, got up in the morning to watch the news and I thought they were showing a film, saw the second plane crash in real time

Horrendous day

Truly terrible day.

Just knew that cunt Defoe was going to miss his penalty as he walked up for it.

Re: 9 11 Who thread
Yeah I went to Reading too, just to complete a dire day

Vivid memories of how we sourced data as the mainstream media was down

Lad in Washington, grid locked Washington, under his desk in sight of the White House asking what to do - ffs that was hairy

And of course the aftermath of Cantor Fitzgerald - bloody desperate times

Re: 9 11 Who thread
Crazy day that - half day at work as I went to our cup match at reading that night - got home and put telly to check team news etc on teletext and couldn't believe what the hell was going on.
